Hi everyone! I’m so excited to announce my upcoming solo show on Friday November 6th in Honolulu! The idea behind my show is that my oil paintings are a modern-day wishing well, shaped by a life beside the ocean on Maui. They began as meditative dialogues for my daughter, and each one is a visual wish for her and for all of us. What they offer isn't something to achieve, only something to recognize and remember.
This work is very different from my previous work and comes from a much more intuitive place so if you’re in the area I hope you can make it to the opening!
We will also be selling silkscreened t-shirts that my toddler designed under my side project “Tidepool Crew” and handsewn patchwork pants with my silkscreen designs on them by my dear friend Annie Lusi “Love Aunty”.
Aside from my paintings we will have a little village corner with a painting by Damian Smith and mixed media piece by Taylor Binda.
If you are unable to make the opening the gallery hours are as follows:
Friday Nov 6 (opening) - 5-9pm
Saturday Nov 7 - 1pm-5pm
Sunday Nov 8 - 10am-2pm
Friday Nov 13 - 12pm-7pm
Saturday Nov 14 - 10am-4pm
